{exceeding expectations} – winnipeg newborn photographers

This “little” man exceeded my expectations! He came to see me in the studio when he was 5weeks old. Normally I like to photograph these sessions as lifestyle sessions, meaning a more candid approach as most babies his age simply do NOT like to be moulded into cute sleeping positions anymore. Well C decided he would break the mould when it came to how 5 week olds would behave.

He slept and cooperated just as great as any 10 day old that has come thru my studio doors. I’m thrilled with photos that came from this session! We also captured some great awake and smiling shots. I wish all babies his age would cooperate this way. It was great meeting you C, I hope you like the photos as much as me ; )

Do you know how much women pay to get their hair to look like this sweet little munchkin? It’s SO gorgeous! I have hair envy! She had so many big smiles. As I sit here editing them, I find myself grinning, simply because her smiles are so contagious! It was great meeting you guys. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

This little peanut has a “big furry sister” to protect her. P was also featured with this glowing momma’s maternity pics. Baby S was only 7 days old when she visited me in the studio and once she was asleep, she was pretty much golden the whole time. Can’t wait to share the rest with you C&T, the football ones are pretty darn cute

Look at the proud look on this big brother’s face. He was such an amazingly behaved boy! He listened and smiled the whole time. Little bro was a bit fussier and took a bit more time, but in the end some pretty cute images were created. It was a pleasure meeting you H&R, your gallery will be ready soon ; )

I think I might hire this daddy-to-be as my personal assistant. He paid attention to all the details, like making sure there were no crinkles in their clothing, carried headboards and other heavy props for me and took some behind the scenes shots. Momma-to-be was a trooper and up for anything including some skyscraper heels that she rocked. I think she looks pretty fabulous sporting her baby bump. Can’t wait to photograph “baby X”

I think this is officially a first for me, photographing ALL 3 siblings as newborns This picture (the one with mom) is still one of my faves (and still hanging above mom’s bed she told me) and you can see more of these bros here.

Baby Q completes this little family. I think the first pic totally sums up what life will be like for her – treated like the little princess she is. It’s a good thing she’s a girl, or big brother C said he’d being moving to Grandpa’s house (Glad he’ll be sticking around)

This session couldn’t have flowed any better, we got so much variety in pictures and she was SO cooperative. Can’t wait to show the rest C&D – congrats!

Isn’t this mama-to-be absolutely breath taking? That’s what I had thought when she walked into the studio. I loved everything about this session, the love and humor that could be seen between the 2, their extremely behaved four legged baby, the ideas they brought and their go with the flow attitudes. I can not wait to photograph their new little one very soon, daddy-to-be will be even more outnumbered when she arrives : )

This sweetheart was born 12 weeks premature and weighed in at just over 1 pound, although you probably wouldn’t be able to tell by her (now) chubby cheeks. Mom and Dad showed me pics of her when she was just born and it is truly a miracle that she is so big and healthy today.

It took us a while to get her to sleep, all she wanted to do was EAT : ) but when she was finally settled, I managed to get a lot of adorable pics.

My clients are the best dressers, hands down! This family is no exception. Mom did such an amazing job of coordinating. I had the privilege of photographing S when she was born (see her pics here) and her beautiful momma when she was still in her belly, so I was thrilled to be able to photograph them again, this time with a little blonde chubby addition.

There are so many great pics to choose from and I will definitely be sharing more, but I just had to share a few that made me smile.

3 hrs of goodness is what I got out this sweet little man. Dad had to meet us a bit later, so mom and grandma came earlier with plenty of time planned in case he didn’t cooperate. Instead I just got 3 hrs of cooperation and lots of great poses and setups like the pic below. It was lovely to meet the 4 of you : )
